
About Amelia
My name is Amelia and I am the creator of Sweet Stride Running. Why ‘Sweet Stride’? Because to me every stride is sweet, and I find my solitude in hitting the pavement.
I have been running for around 15 years, with my event of choice being the half marathon, complemented by regular social park runs. I am a Level 1 Recreational Running Coach (Athletics Australia, National Member ID: 146480) and a qualified nutritionist with an Advanced Diploma in Nutritional Medicine (Australasian College Natural Therapies, HLT61012), and am a true believer in the profound impact food has on not only our physical health but our mental health.
Having a background in data and business analytics I have seen time and time again the power visibility of information can have on driving positive change, and this concept works the same way for physical activity and nutrition; once we can see the evidence there is a connection between the way we move and the food we eat on our health, we are more empowered to improve the quality of our everyday lives through simple tools and choices. This is why I created Sweet Stride Running, to help others discover a habitual love of running and nutrition that will make you want to incorporate them intro your life, not feel like you have to.
One of the things I love about running is how to enables you to constantly explore new spots: check out some of overseas runs and half marathons below, hopefully it inspires you to get out for a run somewhere new.
